Program Objectives
- Racialized youth with disabilities learn the necessary life skills to live independently and participate in wider society with ease.
- To increase the quality of life of youth with disabilities as well as their families.
- To alleviate financial hardships through providing the program free-of-cost and connect participants and their families with any supports and services they may need.
- To increase youths’ confidence and improve their self-image.
- For participants to develop bonds and relationships with their peers.
- For youth to see themselves as a part of every-day living and begin their journey in reaching new milestones in their life.
- To increase knowledge sharing and skills development in racialized youth with disabilities, in the realms of financial literacy, independent living and employment.
- To increase professional development and networking for racialized youth with disabilities.
